Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how it is looked after. Effective date: the date of publication.
Who is responsible for your information
This website is the personal website of Dr Elchin Abbasov, a General Dentist in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The information you send through it is controlled by the practice operating this website, referred to in this notice as "the practice".
If you have a question about this notice or your personal information, please contact the practice, using the enquiry form on this website.
What this notice covers
This notice covers information collected through this website, mainly through the consultation and enquiry form. If you later become a patient, your clinical records are created and kept separately as part of your care, and the practice will explain how those records are handled at that point.
Information collected through the enquiry form
The form asks for a small amount of information, so that the practice can reply to you.
- Your name
- One contact method that you choose, such as a phone number or email address
- The area of dentistry you are interested in
- Your preferred time to be contacted
- An optional short question, if you decide to add one
Please do not send detailed medical information
The form is not designed for health records. Please do not include detailed medical history, medicines, test results or photographs. Relevant health information will be discussed and recorded properly if you attend an appointment.
How your information is used
Enquiry information is used to respond to your enquiry, to contact you at the time and by the method you have chosen, and to arrange and manage any appointment that results from it. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising or marketing profiles.
The practice processes this information because you have chosen to send it and asked for a response, and so that it can take the steps you have requested before any appointment is arranged.
Who receives your information
Your enquiry is delivered to the practice through its enquiry handling service, which processes the information on the practice's behalf and only for that purpose. Details of the service currently used are available on request from the practice, using the enquiry form on this website.
Within the practice, enquiry information is seen by the people who need it to reply to you and arrange your appointment. It is not shared with anyone else unless you ask for this or the practice is required to do so by law.
If any enquiry information is stored or processed outside the United Arab Emirates, the practice will take the steps required by applicable law to protect it.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website does not use analytics tools, advertising cookies or third-party trackers. It may use cookies or similar technologies only where they are strictly necessary for the website to work, for example to deliver pages securely or to process a form submission.
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors.
If this changes, for example if analytics are introduced, this notice will be updated before that happens and any required consent will be requested.
How long your information is kept
Enquiry information is kept only as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting appointment, then deleted or archived according to the practice's records policy.
How your information is protected
The practice takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect enquiry information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason to keep enquiries brief.
UAE data protection
The practice handles personal information with regard to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other applicable laws. Health information is handled under the applicable UAE health data rules, including those that apply to healthcare providers in Dubai.
Your choices
Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in applicable law, you can ask the practice to:
- Tell you what personal information it holds about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your enquiry information where it is no longer needed
- Restrict or stop using your information in certain circumstances
- Stop contacting you, if you no longer wish to hear about your enquiry
Making a request or raising a concern
To make any of these requests, or to raise a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact the practice, using the enquiry form on this website. The practice may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may be able to raise the matter with the relevant UAE authority.
Enquiries on behalf of someone else
If you are sending an enquiry for a child or another person, please make sure you are entitled to share their details, and include only what is needed for the practice to reply.
